Nizoral 2% Ketoconazole Antifungal Treatment Cream 30g

Nizoral Cream is a topical antifungal cream, the main ingredient is Ketoconazole 2% (each gram of cream contains 20mg of ketoconazole). Ketoconazole belongs to a group of medicines called antifungals. Nizoral cream is used for fungal and yeast infections of the skin in adults. Infections may appear on the trunk, chest or back, hands or feet, scalp or face, groin or genitals. Nizoral cream works by killing the fungus that causes the infection. Nizoral Cream quickly penetrates the skin to kill the root cause of fungal infection. It acts very rapidly to relieve itching symptoms and reduce redness, skin irritation and inflammation (swelling). Ketoconazole (Nizoral) 2% Cream is indicated for topical application in the treatment of dermatophyte (fungi that require keratin for growth) infections of the skin such as tinea corporis (ringworm of body), tinea cruris (jock itch- a specific form of tinea affecting the groin, pubic region, and adjacent thigh), tinea manus (fungal infection that affects the outer layer of skin on one or both of your hands) and tinea pedis (athlete's foot) which is caused due to Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Microsporum Canis and Epidermophyton floccosum, as well as in the treatment of cutaneous candidiasis and tinea (pityriasis) versicolor (fungal infection of the skin). Ketoconazole (Nizoral) 2% Cream is also indicated for the treatment of seborrheic dermatitis, a skin condition associated with the presence of Malassezia furfur.
