Yasmin Tablet is a combination birth control pill that contains two active ingredients, drospirenone and ethinylestradiol. These hormones work together to prevent pregnancy through several mechanisms. One of the primary mechanisms of action for Yasmin is the suppression of ovulation. Normally, a woman's ovaries release an egg each month during the menstrual cycle.
